Voice over IP routing is a term for the set of call routing rules that manage calls through a VoIP communication system. When defining VoIP routing, you can create ring groups, give permission to and restrict calls and define rules for the incoming, outgoing, internal, external, local and international calls as well, exactly according to your purposes.

creation of ring groups (you can organise the individual extension numbers into groups and define further rules for the groups, in this case all the extensions will work according to the group's rules)
restrictions (you can make restrictions for individual extensions and for groups as well, with permitting or forbidding the incoming, outgoing, internal, etc. calls for each)
call forwarding (you can define it if one or the other extensions are busy, the call can be forwarded to another extension or any of the extensions within the group, send a busy signal to the caller etc.. The list of the possible options is almost endless)
