What is SIP forking

SIP forking means when a single SIP call is sent for more endpoints at the same time. Essentially one incoming call will ring two or more telephones.

With this service you can handle call groups. When somebody calls a single, configurated telephone number, two or more telephone will ring at the same time. Of course you can attach different operators to these telephones, and the basic customer service is ready now. That operator will talk with the costumer, who answers the ringing phone first.

Another use can be when a person has more telephones, for example office phone, mobile phone and private telephone at home, and these devices are attached into a calling group. We don't know where this given person is, but we know that all of his devices will be ringed when we call that specific number.

The calling group is a ring group or a ringing group with other words.
