HSL's messaging gateway allows SMS messages generated from a software
application to be routed to a mobile telephone quickly, reliably
and cost effectively. There are four ways in which clients can use
the service to send SMS messages: SMTP (e-mail), SMPP (Short Message
Peer to Peer), HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol, Web Server (SOAP/XML).
