• An SMS plan from a mobile service provider (e.g. AT&T or T-Mobile)


• Any mobile phone that support GSM. If your mobile phone uses nano SIM or micro SIM, you may need a GSM modem and a SIM card adaptor as well.

• Download and install Ozeki Phone System XE


• Download and install Broadcast By SMS example program


• Insert your SIM card into the GSM modem


• Plug your modem into a light socket then connect it to your computer


• Specify the COM port used by the modem for Ozeki Phone System XE


• Load you phone list then create and send your message

Yes, you can use your conventional mobile phone or smartphone as well, if they are complying with the requirements.

In case of conventional phone, the requirement is that the phone supports the following SMS standard: GSM 07.05 Phase 2. Please check whether your phone complies with this requirement or not. For checking, connect your cell phone to your computer (usually using a USB cable) at first. After that, you may use Windows HyperTerminal to test your cell phone by using the following AT command: ‘AT+CSMS’.
